The Five Keys To Using Authority For Explosive Growth

Today, for those of you who are struggling to bring their businesses message to the world, this story is for you, it has a few hidden insights, please share in the comments what about it impacts you the most and what your business does to help others. High up in the Himalayan mountains lived a wise old man, a monk. Periodically, he ventured down into the local village to entertain the villagers with his special knowledge and talents. One of his skills was to psychically tell the villagers the content in their pockets, boxes, or minds, for a small coin. He always said, if I don't guess right I will give you the coin back, but he was never wrong. A boy from the village decided to play a trick on the wise old man and discredit his special abilities. The boy came up with an elaborate plan, he was going to use the coin his mother gave him for a loaf of bread, then capture a butterfly and hide it in his hands. He knew that the monk would know what he was holding. But the boy planned to then ask the old man if the butterfly was dead or alive. If the wise man said the butterfly was alive, the boy would crush it in his hands, so that when he opened his hands the butterfly would be dead. But, If the wise man said the butterfly was dead, the boy would open his hands and let it fly free. No matter what the old man said, the boy would prove the wise old man a fraud and get his coin back. The following week the monk came down from the mountain into the village and along the way, the villagers lined up to ask him their most difficult questions. Some about business, others the weather, life, love and so on. The boy showed up to ask his question, giving him his coin, he asked, “Sir, if indeed you are as wise and talented as everyone believes you are, please tell me whether the butterfly in my hand is dead or alive.” For a moment it appeared as if the monk was at a loss for words. The boy thought he had confounded the wise old monk. But, after a pause, the monk looked straight at the boy, and then down at his closed hand. He slowly shook his head from side to side and said... Son, “whether the butterfly is dead or alive, is entirely in your hands. It’s yours to choose.” Much like the boy holding the butterfly, our business, its beauty, meaning and impact it can bring to the world is in our hands. What you do with it is up to you? If you open up your hands and let it fly free it may make the world a better place, if you keep it closed up in your hands and squeeze it to tightly it will surly die. What do you think the boy did? Open up your hands. You can share your businesses message with the world in the comments below, how do you help your clients?
